ROUTE 3 AT NORRIS BRIDGE CLOSED DUE TO POLICE ACTIVITY
No immediate reopening time is available

11:05 a.m. UPDATE: All lanes on Route 3 at Norris Bridge are now open.

10:35 a.m. UPDATE: Crews are now alternating, one-way traffic on Route 3 across the Norris Bridge.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va.  – All Route 3 lanes at the Robert O. Norris Bridge are closed due to police activity. The Norris Bridge connects Middlesex County to Lancaster County over the Rappahannock River.

There is no immediate reopening time available.

Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) are currently posting signs to guide drivers along a detour route, which is Route 3 to the Downing Bridge on Route 360 at Tappahannock, and Route 17.

Real-time updates on the bridge’s status will be available on 511Virginia.
