PORTION OF ROUTE 10 BYPASS TO BE REDUCED TO SINGLE LANE AT THE BRIDGE OVER CYPRESS CREEK IN ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY
Alternating one-way traffic to begin as early as July 17

ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY - As early as July 17, contractor crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will reduce traffic to a single lane on a portion of the Route 10 Bypass (Route 258/10) between Main Street and South Church Street that crosses over Cypress Creek, in Isle of Wight County for bridge work. Alternating one-way traffic under flagger control will be in effect daily beginning as early as 9 a.m. to as late as 3 p.m.

The bridge maintenance project is anticipated to be completed by late summer. This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.

Motorists should consider alternate routes during the daytime closures and are advised to plan their commute by using VDOT’s free traffic information tools:
