LYNCHBURG – Motorists should expect delays due to bridge repairs on Route 840 in Pittsylvania County from 7/24 until approximately 8/4 due to bridge repairs. Route 840 (Water Oak Road) will be temporarily closed to through traffic from Route 612 (Wyatt Farm Road), to the intersection of Route 818 (Mapleton Drive). The Department of Transportation will provide adequate signs for the closure and detour of this portion of Route 840 (Water Oak Road) and will use Route 818 (Mapleton Drive) to Route 41 (Franklin Turnpike) to Route 612 (Wyatt Farm Road) and back to Route 840 (Water Oak Road).
