Stony Point Road Closed in Hillsboro Oct. 27-28
Detour in place during bridge work

HILLSBORO – Stony Point Road (Route 719) between the Woodgrove Road (Route 719)/Cider Mill Road (Route 751) intersection and Route 9 (Charles Town Pike) will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 for work on the bridge over the North Fork of Catoctin Creek, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Those needing to reach properties along Stony Point Road will have access; however, traffic will not be able to go beyond the bridge (located near 36333 Stony Point Road between the Woodgrove/Cider Mill intersection and Honey Locust Lane) in either direction.

Through traffic will be detoured via Cider Mill Road and Route 9 back to Stony Point Road. Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs.
